A Bird Photography Tour - With one of the best photography mentors of the country!
Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in Rajasthan was named after a Keoladeo (Shiva) temple within its boundaries. Previously the park was a hunting ground for the maharajas of Bharatpur, and it was declared a protected sanctuary in 1971. The park is famous as avifauna sanctuary that sees thousands of rare and highly endangered birds species
The park is home to 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snakes, 5 species of lizards, 7 amphibian species, 7 turtle species and a variety of other invertebrate species. Every year thousands of migratory waterfowl visit the park for wintering and breeding. The sanctuary is one of the richest bird areas in the world and is known for nesting of resident birds and visiting migratory birds including water birds. The rare Siberian cranes visit the park in winters every year.
Arrive at the lodge before lunch. Shortly the mentor will facilitate a round of mutual introduction over buffet lunch. At 14:00 -14:30 hrs, we visit the Keoladeo National Park. After your return, there will be an evening session on tips and techniques on photographing birds & wildlife followed by discussion and early dinner.
Wake-up call at 5:00 hrs. All participants are requested to assemble at the common area by 5:30 hrs after breakfast. We all will enter Keoladeo National Park, lunch will be served inside the park. After returning in the evening by 17:30 hrs we will have refreshments and a session on post-processing followed by dinner and then we retire for the day as we have an early morning start.
Wake-up call at 5:00 hrs. All participants are requested to assemble at the common area by 5:30 hrs after breakfast. We all will enter Keoladeo National Park, lunch will be served inside the park. After returning in the evening by 17:30 hrs we will have refreshments and a detailed review session, a Group picture followed by dinner workshop ends.
Morning wake up call at 7:00 AM or as per your departure schedule post breakfast we depart. If there are any transport requests for connecting flight or train please let us know in advance so we can arrange accordingly.
Rohan is a passionate and versatile Film Maker, Photographer & Educator who loves to travel is an avid reader. He is a very knowledgeable educator when it comes to the craft. He worked at Nikon India Pvt. Ltd. as the Head of Nikon School & the Technical team, where he planned, managed, and executed more than 3500 photography seminars, talks & workshops. Personally mentored more than 300 workshops and has delivered lectures on photography at many premier universities & institutions like IIM's & IIT's.
Venue: Situated a short walk away from the world-famous Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur, Iora Guesthouse is ideal for birdwatchers, photographers, and anyone who wants to visit this beautiful sanctuary. Iora Guesthouse has comfortable and well-appointed rooms and is run by Devendra Singh who is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide & naturalist.
